Founded in May 2017 by Gemma Dela Vega-Emata and fellow development workers in Jasaan, Misamis Oriental, Trunk to Gold Agribusiness started from a simple question: why is Misamis Oriental sitting on one of the Philippines' most abundant coconut regions, and yet all that comes out of it is copra and tuba?
The answer became T2G. We produce coconut sugar under the brand "Coco Rush," along with coco syrup, virgin coco oil, coco vinegar, coco jam, and more. Everything is made from coconut sap gathered by our partner tappers in the barangays of Balingasag, Claveria, and Jasaan, and processed at our mechanized facility in San Isidro.
The name says it all. Trunk, for the coconut palm. Gold, for what we believe it is worth when treated right.
T2G was built by development workers who came out of the cooperative sector and knew the farming communities firsthand. We were among the first to commercially produce coconut sugar in Misamis Oriental, and we have spent seven years refining the process from a wok on a stove to a fully mechanized facility.
The sap is tested before it enters production. The facility runs regular Good Manufacturing Practices training. Our packaging is ISO-certified. We are FDA Philippines-compliant. And we test with internationally accredited labs to make sure what is on the label matches what is in the product.
T2G products are available through select health food stores, restaurants, and cafes, and ship to institutional buyers nationwide. We are also experienced exporters to Asia, the Middle East, Europe, the United States, and Canada, with ambitions to grow that reach further.
